Purex Complete Crystals Softener–Review and Giveaway!

Have you recently noticed this new product on shelves at your local store? I can imagine it caught your attention as it did mine! It's such a unique idea that I was, in all honesty, a little skeptical at first. I've never been a huge fan of liquid softeners, and I wasn't sure how Purex Complete Crystals Softners would work, since I prefer to use dryer sheets.

As a Purex Insider, I was extremely lucky to receive a sample of the Purex Crystals in Fresh Spring Waters scent. They make doing laundry even easier! Just add a little to the washing machine when putting in your  laundry detergent and you just have to remember to put the load of wash into the dryer when it's time. They work by penetrating the fabric and infusing freshness that lasts for weeks, not days.

I found that when I opened the washing machine I was able to immediately semll the Purex Crystals scent. It wasn't overpowering, and I immediately fell in love with them! The same fragrance stayed with them throughout the time spent in the dryer, and the clothes came out softer than ever before. Even my husband was able to notice a difference with his work clothes, which are hard to get the 'work smell' out of.

One of the best parts, is that this is a 92% natural product!!!! I was even more surprised to learn that traditional liquid fabric softeners are oil-based, which means that they leave a layer of oil on your clothes and other laundry. After all, I want to know that my clothes are clean, not that they're being coated in oil. This coating that is left from liquid softeners also reduces the ability for towels and other fabrics to absorb water and other liquids. And, I definitely noticed a difference when drying dishes with the towels that were washed with the Purex Crystals.

I am so excited to share Purex Crystals with all of you! This giveaway will run until midnight CST on Sunday April 3rd, 2011. Please feel free to share one of your favorite laundry tips, as I will put together a list and post them to share with everyone. (Click here for a full screen view of the entry form.) Winners will be chosen through Random.org and announced on April 5th. Are you ready to change the way you do laundry?

Disclosure: I received this product sample for review from Purex. I was not compensated for my review or opinion. The is review is strictly my opinion only.

Gillette Deodorant @ Walgreens - Stock up price!

Here's how it worked for me... I bought 4 Gillette deodorants for my husband, since it's one of the only two brands he likes. Right now, through Saturday at midnight, they have the deodorants as "buy one get one 50% off". I was expecting the deal to go a little different, actually end up being more out of pocket.

Gillette Deodorant: $4.49
P&G coupon insert from 1/30 has a Buy One Get One Free Coupon

As I said earlier I bought 4, which I also used 2 of the B1G1 coupons with. After I got home and looked closer at my receipt I was shocked. The deal comes out to $1.12 + tax for each, or a total of $4.48 for all 4! That's 4 for the normal price of 1! The register took off the $4.49 (full price) with each of my coupons, and then took off another $2.25 for each that I purchased. I also added the Natrol Melatonin (works great for those nights when you can't fall asleep) to my order since it's $3 with $3 RR.

I will warn that this deal may not come out the same for you, but hopefully all registers are ringing up this way. Stock up while you can!!!!
